Many institutions such as The National Portrait Gallery (Washington, D.C.), the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Stanford University (Special Collections) have kept a collection of MICHAEL KATAKIS‘ photography. As of 2008, the British Library in London has been the repository for his entire oeuvre. Author of books such as The Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial (Crown, 1988) and Traveller (Burton & Park Publishers, 2009), Katakis was elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in 1999. A frequent resident in France, he now lives in Carmel, California with his wife, Kris Hardin, who works as an anthropologist. His website is www.mkatakis.org.
