Finding the Line

“Drawing and observation are at the centre of all my work; I carry a sketchbook at all times and the visual notes I make inform everything I do, whether a fine-detailed drawing or a large abstract painting. I believe that the skills involved in making art are the medium to carry the emotional involvement it takes to produce a finished piece. Making art, for me, is a passion; a heartfelt response to life experience, whether an actual event, an object, landscape, music or words. I am driven by a need to convey this belief through my work.”
