Trăng / Moon

English Translation

I’m lost inside of you like a rabbit inside the rings of the moon,
the desert moon that has no grass or trees like the forest where I live.
The desert moon that’s colder than my dew,
and the seductive flowers rest, and nibble the fallen leaves of the da tree.

Moonlight so pure, I can’t see
the moment that is the lost day, or the moment that’s even further away.
Leaves of the da tree stain the moonlight into strange grass,
leaving my forest to stand crying in the world.

My indulgence holds me back with the moon,
or with the old wolf who occupies the ancient stream.
The moon’s simplicity drags me into raggedness.
Strangely the moon’s loneliness is inside of me.

She was so innocent and so passionate.
Without shifting its shadow, the full round moon finds her.
Although the da tree has ended its night of falling leaves,
I still drowse and dream of that moon-lit day.
