Biography
SHANE WELCH was raised near Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbia College. Recipient of multiple scholarships for excellence, his work has been featured in various galleries and publications, including the Chicago Project by the Catherine Edelman Gallery in May 2010. A frequent traveler, Welch has ventured the backwoods of Yellowstone as well as the ghettos of Israel, and whether he is shooting an abstract cityscape, a time lapse of the natural environment, or a portrait for a documentary piece, he is always looking to capture a moment of beauty or inspiration.
